This morning, the first semester exams began at Damascus University for the academic year 2021-2022 and will continue for about a month.
According to Dr. Sobhi Al-Bahri, Vice President of Damascus University for Administrative Affairs, about 150,000 students will take the exams, indicating in a statement to SANA that the university has completed its preparations and preparations for the launch of the exam season, which usually begins in colleges with large numbers, such as the College of Arts, Humanities and Law, and the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and continues later. In other colleges early next week.
And the Vice President of the University indicated that the deans of faculties and heads of departments were stressed on the necessity of adhering to the examination instructions that were circulated to the faculties, that the questions be objective and clear, adherence to the time period for each exam course, and the necessity of the presence of faculty members inside the halls to answer students’ inquiries and questions and not to delay in issuing the results.
Dr. Osama Kaddour, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Damascus University, said that more than 50,000 male and female students sit for exams in the college. They are distributed among 43 exam halls and over three sessions a day, each of which lasts two hours for courses with traditional questions and 70 minutes for courses with automated questions, indicating that the number of Courses in the College of Arts amount to about 700 courses in all 14 departments of the college.
Damascus University includes 18 colleges in the central administration in Damascus and has 3 branches in the governorates of “Daraa, As-Suwayda, and Quneitra”.
