Once again there is news from Meta and its popular messenger service WhatsApp. Users can look forward to a number of user-friendly features.

And they can all look forward to further features, innovations and improvements in Messenger.
Not everyone will like what comes next.
WhatsApp 2022: Better quality when sending pictures

reports, WhatsApp reacts to users' criticism that images are compressed when they are sent.
Which goes badly at the expense of the image quality.
In the near future, users should be able to determine the quality in which an image should be sent.
There are then three options to choose from: "Automatic, best quality or data-saving mode."
WhatsApp 2022: more power over the past
Who hasn't ever wanted to undo a message and delete it from a chat?
So far it works like this: Click on the message in the chat history, tap the garbage can icon and the message "Delete for all".
It then disappears from the history, even if the chat partner has already read it.
However, this only works for messages that are no older than 68 minutes.
Many users find this to be a fairly short slot.
And WhatsApp will probably find that too and wants to turn the "time screw" this year.

found out, users should soon have the chance to delete messages up to three months old from a chat history.
This function is probably still in the test phase, when it will be available is not yet known.
WhatsApp 2022: react with emoji function
Old, young, business or private - someone receives a message from someone that, strictly speaking, does not need an answer.
A reaction with one of the cute emojis is enough.
The developers want to make it easier for users to reply with fixed emoji reactions.
The control of the group admins is also new.
WhatsApp 2022: No more "last online"
It concerns few people when they were last online.
Users can select who is allowed to see what via the settings of the messenger: "Everyone", "My contacts" and "Nobody".
This year an update is to come out that offers more variants, namely: "My contacts, except ...".
So you can exclude certain contacts.
WhatsApp 2022: multi-device function
Last year, the “multi-device function” came up on wobbly children's legs.
The function made it possible to use your own account on four different devices at the same time.
However, since it was still a beta version, not all of the usual WhatsApp functions were available, explains
