The strongest passport in the world, 2016 (Walla! Tourism)

While the idea of flying abroad during this period, when the corona is soaring around the world, is less of a magician for travelers across the globe, it did not prevent the Henley Passport Index from reviewing the world's strongest passports ranking for 2022 of 193 UN member states and six territories (Taiwan (China), Macau (China), Hong Kong (China), Kosovo, the Palestinian Authority and the Vatican).

In this year's ranking, which relied, as every year, on the number of countries to which each passport allows entry, there is a growing gap between the northern and southern parts of the world, in terms of the degree of free movement between countries, ie entry without a visa. The gap was created due to entry restrictions of different countries following the corona, and this is the largest gap recorded in the 16 years of existence of the Henley Passport Index. "In 2006, the average world number of countries that could be visited without the need for a visa in advance was 57. In 2022, the average rose to 107," the survey authors said.

So which citizens hold the passport that puts the most into countries in the world?

Like "Apartheid Trip"

In addition, Henley's latest index indicates that the Omicron's performance at the end of the year highlighted the growing gap in international mobility between richer and poorer countries, and pointed to the severe restrictions imposed mainly on African countries, which UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described as "apartheid travel" .
