(ANSA) - PARIS, 12 JAN - A person was placed in detention today in France as part of the investigation into the so-called "Chevaline massacre", near Lake Annecy, on September 5, 2012, in which some were killed members of the same family, the al-Halli, British tourists of Iraqi origin on holiday in France, and a French cyclist, Sylvain Mollier.
Only two girls, aged 4 and 7, survived, a crime that still remains one of France's greatest lawyers.
"This detention is aimed at carrying out checks" and "searches were carried out at the home" of this person, the Annecy prosecutor in south-eastern France pointed out in a note.
