Gas: AIE accuses Russia and Gazprom of the crisis in Europe

(ANSA) - ROME, 12 JAN - The head of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, accuses Russia eGazprom of the energy crisis in Europe.

   "There is strong evidence that the gas shortage in Europe is caused by Russia's behavior," Birol told reporters according to press reports.

   "The current storage deficit in the European Union - he pointed out - is largely due to Gazprom".
