Fans have been arguing about the exact release date of GTA 6 for years.

Now even insiders disagree about when the next rock star title will appear.

New York fans have been looking forward to the release of GTA 6 * for years.

Grand Theft Auto V, the current title from Rockstar Games *, is now almost eight years old.

There could well be a continuation of the popular GTA * series soon.

But fans will have to be patient.

How long exactly is currently being discussed by insiders on Twitter.

What's the matter?

A proven GTA insider recently announced that the release announcement for GTA 6 should come as early as 2022 * - so this year.

Now that fans have been waiting for the next Grand Theft Auto title to be announced for years, the prognosis was delighted.

In addition, the insider spoke out in favor of a release in 2023.

So fans could possibly finally hold GTA 6 in their hands next year.

At least that's the opinion of Tez2, who is very well known in the GTA community.

But Tom Henderson, also a well-known leaker and insider, sees the whole thing a little differently.

However, Henderson is better known for inside information on Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty than it is on Grand Theft Auto.

Nevertheless, he has already made a name for himself in the scene and fans trust him because he has already made correct statements about CoD and BF.

Why does Tom Henderson disagree?

On Twitter, a user asked Tom Henderson what he would think of Tez2's statement regarding the release of GTA 6.

Last year Henderson said that GTA 6 could probably have its release in 2023 *.

However, he changed his mind shortly thereafter and considers 2024 or even 2025 to be a more realistic release.

Henderson was also helped by Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, who has many sources in the gaming industry.

When asked what Henderson thought of Tez2's statement, he continues to advocate a GTA 6 release in 2024:

I do not know.

[The release announcement in 2022] makes sense [...] when the game is released in 2024.

But I think they [Rockstar Games, note d.

Red.] Are aware of the fact that their reputation is a little tarnished at the moment, so I hope they fix that beforehand (fix GTA trilogy, add new content to Red Dead Online, etc.)

Tom Henderson is of the opinion that a release announcement of GTA 6 for 2022 is quite realistic, provided that the developer from New York plans to release the game in 2024.

So far it has always been the case that Rockstar Games announced their games two years before the release date.

If the developer from New York stays true to this scheme, Henderson's prognosis is therefore more likely.

Who is Tez2?

Tez2 is a Rockstar Games insider who mainly comments on GTA and Red Dead Redemption.

He has been tweeting information and news about the Rockstar titles regularly since 2015 and was spot on with a few leaks.

Most recently, he had spoken in a GTA forum about the release of GTA 6, Bully 2 and new features in the next Grand Theft Auto title.
