Nerves tense in Sicily, rumors of Musumeci's resignation

At Palazzo dei Normanni there are rumors about the possible resignation of Nello Musumeci as governor in Sicily, after the tear in the majority on the vote of the great electors of the Head of State. ANSA learns that Musumeci would like to announce them when parliamentary work resumes, which have been suspended. They are frenetic moments in the center-right, the commissioner Toto Cordaro, who maintains relations with Parliament, is now in the room of the president of the Ars, Gianfranco Miccichè.

For Sicily are Gianfranco Miccichè of Forza Italia, Nunzio Di Paola of the M5s and Nello Musumeci (Db), who came third, the three great voters who will vote for the Head of State.

There were 67 voters, three deputies (all from the center-right) on leave. The most voted was Miccichè, 44 preferences. Followed by Nunzio Di Paola (32), who received more votes than the number of opposition parliamentarians who yesterday agreed to converge on the pentastellato group leader. Governor Musumeci came third with 29 votes, therefore "betrayed" by some snipers of the majority, having had fewer preferences than the total number of center-right honorable members. Each deputy expressed two preferences, many individual votes to Miccichè and Di Paola. The deputies received a vote: Giuseppe Lupo (Pd), Anthony Barbagallo (Pd), Antonello Cracolici (Pd), Nello Dipasquale (Pd), Michele Catanzaro (Pd), Baldo Gucciardi (Pd), Giuseppe Arancio (Pd), Claudio Fava (Centopassi), Michele Mancuso (Fi),Riccardo Gallo (Fi), Eleonora Lo Curto (Udc).
