A helicopter crashed over Upper Darby Township in the US state of Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
On board was a two-month-old girl who, according to US media reports, was on her way to a children's hospital in Philadelphia for treatment.
The causes of the crash are still unclear - but apart from the baby, all occupants were able to free themselves from the wreck.
Rescue teams rushed to the wreck, the police tweeted.
Nobody was seriously injured.
The girl's condition was stable, she had been taken to a clinic, as was the pilot, who had suffered more serious injuries.
"A miracle that there were no fatalities"
"It's really a miracle there weren't any fatalities," the Philadelphia Inquirer quoted Delaware County council chairwoman Monica Taylor as saying.
Numerous eyewitnesses observed the incident.
Shocked drivers stopped and watched the smoking helicopter make loud noises, hit the ground and eventually people climb out, the newspaper reported.
"That was one of the craziest things I've ever seen in my life," a 28-year-old told the paper.
