++ Covid: Gimbe, 1.2 million new cases in 7 days, + 49% ++

In the week from 5 to 11 January, there was a 49% increase in new cases of Covid-19, which were one million and 207,689 compared to 810,535 the previous week. The currently positive cases are also growing strongly: they are 2,134. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 13 - In the week from 5 to 11 January it notes a 49% increase in new cases of Covid-19, which amounted to one million and 207,689 compared to 810,535 the previous week.

The randomly positive ones are also growing strongly: they are 2,134,139 compared to 1,265,297 of the previous week, equal to + 68.7%.

While the incidence of new cases of Sars-Cov-2 infection in 56 provinces exceeds 2000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

This was revealed by the independent monitoring of the Gimbe Foundation which speaks of "insufficient measures to curb the rise of infections".
