(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, 13 JAN - In the last 24 hours Israel has registered almost 50,000 (48,095) new infections from Covid, driven by the Omicron variant.
This is evidenced by the data released by the Ministry of Health according to which the morbidity rate has reached 11.97% compared to 401,747 tests between molecular and antigenic.
The number of seriously ill patients is on the rise, reaching 283.
According to the media, however, the number of seriously ill and dying during Omicron remains much lower than those recorded in other waves.
