(ANSA) - LONDON, JAN 13 - It is unlikely that Virginia Giuffrea will accept a "purely financial agreement" to put an end to her civil lawsuit for sexual assault she brought against Prince Andrew in the US. David Boies, lawyer of the 38-year-old who accuses the Duke of York of sexually abusing her three times in 2001, said this in an interview with the BBC, when at 17 she was introduced to him by the late financier Jeffrey Espteine by his girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell.
One of Andrea's options to avoid the looming trial would be to try the out-of-court settlement card.
But Boies said: "I think it is very important for Virginia Giuffre that the matter be resolved in a way that is right for her and the other victims."
At the moment, according to the lawyer, there has been no discussion regarding a possible financial settlement between the parties.
