Poison for savers, inflation is becoming a headache for insurers.

The association of savers Afer, one of the market benchmarks, announced Thursday a 2021 rate of 1.70%, unchanged from 2020. This stability is a good surprise, after years of uninterrupted decline.

"It was difficult to maintain this rate,"

says Gerard Beckerman, president of the association with 750,000 members.

And yet, the yield served could be lower than annual inflation (the precise figure will be known in the coming weeks).
