(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 13 - From Truman Capote to Mata Hari, from Nikola Tesla to Anaïs Nin. And then Palma Bucarelli, Kiki deMontparnasse and Man Ray. Told through their unforgettable stories but also through objects, photos and memories left or lost among the rooms and corridors of the hotel "symbol" of their existence. The new Sky Original production makes its debut on Sky Ghost hotel, starring Michela Murgia, in the guise of a brave hotel concierge, a job that the writer actually carried out before the great success of her novels.

Conceived and created by Ruvido Produzioni and written by MichelaMurgia, Donato Dallavalle and Valentina Pattavina, Ghost Hotel is on air from January 18th at 9.15pm on Sky Arte, also available on demand and streaming on Now.

The program, created with the support of the Sardinia Film Commission Foundation, is a world, a passage between reality and dream, an ideal place that contains the stories of the great protagonists of twentieth century art and culture who, between the rooms and the corridors of the hotel by Michela Murgia have intertwined even just a moment of their extraordinary lives, leaving behind a piece of themselves.

In each episode, the writer challenges the disturbing nocturnal presences that populate the Ghost Hotel by entering a different room every evening, in search of the traces left by six key characters of the twentieth century. Searching among objects, photos and memories left in the room by the protagonists, he recalls their stories, passions and failures, revealing even lesser-known intimate sides. From the childhood traumas of Truman Capote, consumed at the Monteleone Hotel in New Orleans, to the first clandestine passions of Anaïs Nin between the sheets of the HotelCentral in Paris, passing through the mysterious hermitage of the ingenious Nikola Tesla in the hyper-technological New Yorker Hotel.

Mysteries, passions and revelations that emerge thanks to the use of exciting repertoire images, unpublished choreographies, original music and above all thanks to the ironic and corrosive storytelling of the Murgia.
