This is the question Sony, manufacturer of the PS4 and PS5 *, asked itself.

In a current ranking, Sony * shows the most popular games on its consoles in the order in which they were downloaded the most.

The top lists include many of the usual suspects, but also a few surprises.

Top games for PS4 and PS5: football and world war are at the top

Sony consulted the in-house PlayStation Store for the ranking of the most popular games of 2021. The San Mateo, California-based company has reviewed all downloads for the year and collected the games that players have downloaded most frequently on the PS4 and PS5. From this, Sony finally created respective rankings of the most loaded games for North America and Europe.

But if you own the current console, you could win some strong titles in 2021.

The lonely top in Europe, however, are a few common suspects.
