Nature Party: All the Ways to Ecologically Integrate at Home | Israel today

2022-01-13T13:23:11.671Z

A forest in the bathroom, a terrarium garden that strengthens itself and potted plants that grow suitable for a bed • How would you like the vegetation in your home and in what format?

At the beginning of next week we will celebrate Tu B'Shvat, and together with the attention we want to give to the current year, which is a shmita year, we would only be asked to present you with a very green article, but no less - values, one that raises questions and makes us look at things from various angles. The trees are one nature party that everyone takes part in - colors of green and brown, botanical motifs, landscaping and ecological and social aspects.

Freshness and flow

There is nothing like botanical motifs and elements to bring nature into the home.

As a rule, vegetation connects associatively with freshness, regeneration and flow, and the more we make sure to incorporate real vegetation or just mentions inspired by it, the more we will be privileged to be enveloped in these feelings.

There is no need to turn the house into a jungle, but you can definitely put the shame aside and go a little wild. A wall covered with tiles that display vegetation prints will bring a lot of freshness to the dining area, the bathroom space, the foyer and any other place you choose. The botanical trend has been starring in the international design scene for several years. It will also be one of the trends that will continue to evolve, mainly due to its connection to the ecological trend. Most wallpaper and upholstery companies have spectacular collections of fabrics and wallpapers with botanical motifs. It is possible to upholster the sofa in such a fabric, but it is certainly also possible to make do with the cushions that carry the print, thus not producing too much commitment.

The stores today offer a wide variety of artificial plants that look great, and can be combined in different corners of the house, in case you are too lazy to grow live vegetation or you are considered a serial plant killer.

Along with the realistic visual elements, the botanical allusion can also be combined through color and texture - it can be an island or a table top in shades of green with dark tendons that create a wild look of nature, green cabinets in the kitchen and more.

Towers at home

Home gardening is a world in itself. Along with the conventional pots, urban agriculture also extended into the domestic space. We are now interested in using according to our daily consumption, and less filling refrigerators without control. So true, not everyone can raise chickens in the yard, but everything related to vegetables and spices we can raise on the windowsill without much trouble. It pays to cut a thyme branch for roast beef, instead of buying a whole package, most of which will probably rot somewhere in the darkness of the refrigerator. Today there are home accessories that allow growing in home greenhouse conditions, which raises the temperature and humidity and creates a climate that is adapted to the different crops in different seasons.

If you live in an apartment building, you can incorporate terrarium gardens.

It is an organic garden enclosed within a transparent glass vessel, which operates itself.

After an adjustment period of about three weeks, during which the garden is watered and left open and closed intermittently, closed with the lid and allowed to develop on its own, using natural condensation processes created by the living organism itself.

The product is beautiful looking and touching, and it will also suit those who live in a detached house with a garden.

Ecological aspects

More than in the past, we are now interested in understanding what materials the furniture we have chosen is made of.

In most cases we will appreciate it more if it is created on the basis of recycled materials or those that are not harmful to the environment.

We would also like to know that vulnerable and at-risk populations have been integrated into its production process, as part of their integration into society.

The greener we become, the more aware we become, and the more sensitive we are to the person in front of us.

This refinement is essential and of great importance at the anthropological level, and it maintains a system of interaction with the ecological value.

Mother Earth

The evolving refinement allows us, as mentioned, to pay attention to details. Let us take, for example, the year of the shemita. Simply put, we know that once every seven years the produce is left on the land on which it is grown. In the deeper meaning, we give the earth a moment of rest. She works around the clock, raising more and more generations of crops, not stopping for a moment. Between sowing and growing it is watered, prepared quickly to prepare for the next round. Once every seven years make a stop. Give her a moment to rest, to breathe, not to worry about anyone but herself.

The shmita year is similar to a sabbatical year, as is customary with teachers and doctors.

It is a symbol of the need for rest for each of us.

Mental rest, the understanding that we are taking a year in which we invest more in ourselves, in going to classes, to interesting lectures, in home nesting, order, organization and redesign.

Each of us deserves a year of bedtime, just like Mother Earth.

Even for those who want a green look in the house and still keep the laws of shemita there are solutions - besides combining botanical elements in the space, you can grow in the apartment pots with a bottom, which is considered a "break" from the ground (for all those living above ground floor. Since it can "suck" from the ground), and create a small and refreshing jungle on the balcony.

Were we wrong?
