Just a month ago, a press release from Radio France put an end to several months of suspense. Lionel Sow, on the departure of the choir of the Orchester de Paris (where he will have spent ten years, considerably fleshing out the only resident symphonic choir of the Philharmonie de Paris), had just been appointed musical director of the choir of the Round house. A news immediately greeted with joy by all lovers of choral singing in France. Because this function, which he will take charge of in September 2022, comes to crown twenty-five years of a course without the slightest hitch during which he will have largely contributed to revitalizing our choral landscape. Whether at the head of prestigious amateur formations (the choir of the Orchester de Paris), of children (the Maîtrise de Notre-Dame de Paris, which he directed from 2006 to 2014),or professional as a guest conductor.
