CATANZARO, 12 JAN - The growth of infections does not stop the inaugurations that resume this week at the beginning of the year, with new exhibition projects that focus on contemporary art and range from photography to sculpture to painting.

CATANZARO - "Autarkeia II. The call of matter" is the title of the Aron Demetz exhibition at the Marca di Catanzaro: set up from January 15 to March 31, the exhibition, curated by Alessandro Romanini, consists of sculptures in wood, bronze , in plaster and glass, through which the artist from Val Gardena proposes a series of formal solutions semantically connected to the concept of "Self-sufficiency".

ABANO TERME - From January 15th to June 5th at Villa Bassi Rathgeb is scheduled "Robert Capa. Photographs beyond the war", curated by Marco Minuz: with the aim of countering the stereotype of "the best war photojournalist in the world" ( so in 1938 he was defined Capa by the prestigious English magazine Picture Post), the exhibition offers the opportunity to admire little-known shots of the great author. Among the photographs on display, those that reveal Capa's relationship with the world of culture with portraits of famous personalities such as Picasso, Hemingway and Matisse, the reportages dedicated to period films and the journey to Russia undertaken in 1947 with the writer John Steinbeck .

MILAN - The world premiere of "Geronimo Stilton live experience. Journey through time" arrives at the Fabbrica del Vapore at the Spazio ex Cisterne on January 15: up to March 20, young visitors can experience a fun and engaging adventure through a special mission , to save Geronimo Stilton, moving between interactive games and technologies such as mapping, augmented reality and digital signage. The narrative is based on the editorial series "Journey through Time", which invites readers to reach distant eras and experience stratypical adventures.

GENOA - The exhibition "The photography of Guido Rossa. Even in a small thing" opens on January 14 at the Palazzo Ducale, curated by Gabriele D'Autilia and Sergio Luzzatto. Open for free until February 20, the exhibition tells how important photography was for Guido Rossa, alongside the social and political dimension. The itinerary, divided into two parts, presents shots taken during a Himalayan expedition in 1963, in India and Nepal, all accompanied by notebooks, alongside others dedicated to details of nature and objects of work, panoramas and glimpses of the city ​​of Genoa and some moments of political and trade union commitment.

LODI - At Platea - Palazzo Galeano on January 16th, the opening of "Credo Pianura", a solo show by Alberonero scheduled until March 26th. In this project the artist of Lodi origins presents a site specific installation that blends natural elements with artificial imaginary landscape, to reflect through the use of color on the place where each human being lives and grows.

VENICE - The Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation hosts "One Hundred Years of Ernani" at Palazzetto Tito from 14 January to 27 February, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ernani Costantini: a summary of the artistic career of the Venetian painter is presented, from the works exhibited in the first exhibitions, starting from the second half of the 1950s, up to the last canvas created in 2005, two years before his death. It is a comparison with the sacred that proposed by Giancarlo Babetto in the exhibition "Sign and Light", curated by Andrea Nante and Carmelo Grasso and set up in the Basilica of San Giorgio Maggiore from January 14 to April 3. Along the way, the geometries of the shapes and the precious materials chosen by the master goldsmith document his reflection on spirituality, no longer recalling the sacralization ofobject but to the sacralization of life.

ROME - At WeGil from 14 to 18 January the photographic collective "You are beautiful to die", an itinerant project curated by Ikonica Foto: a path of great impact denouncing the horror of femicide, through the interpretation of a group of amateurs.
