“Then it is the turn of Kelly Rangama, the former emblematic candidate of” Top Chef “to reveal that she has suffered from this disease since she was 19 years old.

Endometriosis: all about this disease that affects 1 in 10 women

The adoption of a text in the National Assembly will perhaps get things moving. This is a resolution defended by Clémentine Autain (LFI), voted unanimously by the 111 deputies present. The adoption of this text, which is not binding, should encourage the government to consider endometriosis as a long-term condition (ALD). More specifically, a disease to be included on the list of "ALD 30", these 30 diseases which are 100% covered by health insurance, such as multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes (and type 2) or Leprosy. The MP spoke of a “great victory for the millions of women who suffer from endometriosis”. In France, one in ten women is indeed affected by this affliction.

Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Republic, had for his part anticipated the vote by announcing a national strategy to fight against endometriosis.

"It's not a women's problem, it's a social problem," he explained.

The national strategy we are launching brings hope for a better quality of life for millions of girls and women.
