(ANSA) - TURIN, 14 JAN - The three-year-old girl died last night, in Turin, she fell from the fourth floor of a building in via Milano.
Arrived at the emergency room of the Regina Margherita infantile hospital in desperate conditions, during the night the doctors tried a delicate neurological intervention, but the little girl could not withstand the severe head trauma reported in the fall.
The Mobile Police Station investigates the incident, listening to the mother, the woman's cohabitant and a neighbor of the house.
It is still unclear whether at the time of the accident the baby was alone in the house with her mother's cohabitant or whether the latter was there as well.
The little girl lived with her mother, a 41-year-old Italian, in the building in via Milano, a few steps from the PortaPalazzo market.
The woman's partner, a 32-year-old Moroccan who is not the child's father, lives in the apartment next door.
Investigators are hearing the couple and other witnesses to figure out who the child was with at the time of the fall.
In falling he had suffered a very serious head injury, a trauma to pain and multiple bone injuries.
