He beats and kills his mother-in-law, arrested 44 years old in Latina

The woman died in the hospital, where she was unsuccessfully subjected to a delicate operation to remove the vast brain hematoma created by the blows. For the death of NadiaBergamini, 70, Antonio Salvatore Zappalà, 44, was arrested in Latina by the agents of the mobile squad and the flying squad. The man, originally from Sicily, was already known for some police records. He is now under investigation for the very serious injuries caused to his mother-in-law which, late yesterday evening, led to his death.

    According to the first investigations, he would have beaten the 70-year-old, owner of a bar where he worked, for reasons that were not yet clear, until it was ruined on the ground, thus causing her fatal injuries.

According to an initial reconstruction by the Latina police, the events took place inside an apartment on the outskirts of the capital, where the victim lived.

Yesterday afternoon the daughter, returning home, found the mother agonizing and with clear signs of trauma injuries.
