According to the manufacturer Orkla Foods Danmark, only the “Fruchtaufschlag Orange” variety in a 600g jar with a best-before date of February 21, 2023 has been affected by the recall.
According to Orkla Foods, customers who have purchased this product should bring it back to their store and under no circumstances eat it.
Consuming broken glass can cause serious injuries to the mouth and throat, as well as internal injuries or bleeding.

As Orkla Foods informed in a press release, the spread will be withdrawn from the market for reasons of the precautionary principle: So far, however, only one customer has found glass splinters in the product.
“There was no glass breakage in our production either on the day of production or on the days before.
Although the likelihood that the broken glass found came from our production is almost non-existent, as a precautionary measure we have decided to recall Den Gamle Fabrik Orange fruit spread 600g with the affected batch number," writes the company.

The sellers also took the fruit spread from the shelves.
