The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, revealed that the ministry is about to announce a competition to appoint teaching assistants from various specializations in all universities and colleges according to the actual need, at the end of this month.
In a statement to SANA, Minister Ibrahim pointed out that the competition focused on medical specialties, as it was noticed that the number of the most needed specialties in public hospitals increased, especially oncology, radiology, anesthesia, physical therapy, family and community medicine.
Minister Ibrahim indicated that Legislative Decree No. 2 issued today granting workers in public hospitals specialized in oncology compensation for the nature of work on the basis of the monthly wage lump sum on the date of work performance contributes to encouraging graduate students and various medical and technical cadres to this specialization and improving and enhancing the quality of medical services in public hospitals.
