Assaults and abuse of power against women are believed to have occurred on the talent show “The Voice of Holland” (TVOH).
RTL Nederland is therefore suspending the show until further notice, as the broadcaster announced.
The allegations are "very serious and shocking," it said.
The band leader Jeroen Rietbergen resigned after the allegations by women became known through research by the public broadcaster BNNVARA.
However, there are other suspects as well.
According to the Dutch news agency ANP, only one of the men has been reported to the public prosecutor's office.
The musician denied the allegations to the newspaper "De Telegraaf": They were "not true" and he was "convinced of his innocence".
At the time, the problem was not clear to him
Rietbergen, on the other hand, had his lawyer explain, according to the ANP, that he wanted to "offer my sincere apologies to the women concerned for things I should never have done."
According to him, it's about events that happened years ago.
According to the Telegraaf, he admits to having had sexual contact with some of the women involved in the show during his years as a bandleader and pianist and to have sent text messages with sexual content.
At the time, the problem was not clear to him.
He then realized that he had made a mistake and sought professional help.
Thanks to therapy, he changed his behavior permanently.
He is the partner of show host Linda de Mol, who is also well-known in Germany. "My family is now back together, no matter how difficult the situation for my wife was and is again," says Rietbergen.
Linda de Mol's manager, 57, said she would not comment at this time, according to the ANP.
The casting format "The Voice" developed by Dutch TV producer John de Mol was launched in 2010, and the German version "The Voice of Germany" based on it has been around since 2011.
