The scenario:

intoxication and oblivion.

After inspector Thiel (Axel Prahl) wakes up in a hotel room with a bad hangover, he has to investigate a case in which all the evidence points to him as a murderer.

An old acquaintance was found shot dead near the clinic where his "father" (Claus D. Clausnitzer) is being treated for a possible brain tumor.

In pictures from surveillance cameras, Thiel sees himself with a moronic grin on his face and a plush koala in his arms, and the more comprehensively he reconstructs the events of the previous evening, the more certain he seems to be the murderer.

Meanwhile, Professor Boerne (Jan Josef Liefers) is trying to find the reasons for his colleague's amnesia.

The highlight:

Bad trip with Thiel: While the commissioner is afraid of losing his father, wild visions creep up on him.

A South American super drug called Burundanga - "the devil's breath" - is not innocent.

The giggling thriller from Münster, which is already stoned across the board, adds a few more in terms of psychoactive substances - including cognitive dissonance.

The plot of the current episode staggers enormously over long stretches, but has a few nasty psychological twists ready at the end.

The picture:

Thiel's face between drunk and film tear.

Never before has an investigator stared so helplessly at events that he couldn't get reconstructed.

The dialogue:

Forensic pathologist Haller (ChrisTine Ursprechen) calls Professor Boerne, who is absent, to discuss upcoming autopsies.

Haller: "When are you coming back?"

Boerne: "Why are you asking me that?"

Haller: "Well, then I'll make the autoerotic strangulation victim out of Buldern myself."

Boerne »Oh, oh, no, no.

There is no orchestra without a conductor.

The little piglet stays in the cool box until I get back.«

The music:

»

Toccata

and

Fugue

in D minor (

BWV 565

)« by Johann Sebastian Bach.

The organ cracker is running when Thiel hits an unexpected flash of inspiration while driving.

The review:

6 out of 10 points.

Overorganized drug thriller, Fear And Loathing in Münster.
