Altice Media, the group that owns RMC and BFMTV, claims to launch an internal investigation after the complaint of attempted sexual assault

The reaction will not have dragged on.

Less than 24 hours after the revelation, by the Parisian, of a complaint for attempted sexual assault against Jean-Jacques Bourdin, Altice Media announces that it has learned "through the press of the existence of this complaint" and has spoken with his journalist, who "vigorously disputed the facts denounced".

The owner of RMC and BFMTV, where Jean-Jacques Bourdin still presents the 8:35 political interview, also announces, "for the sake of transparency", to "conduct an internal investigation to ensure that no facts of this type was brought to the attention of the managers or colleagues of the persons concerned (complainant and accused)”. “We are following with the greatest attention any developments in this case and we will take all the measures that may be necessary depending on its evolution”, specifies the press release, sent this Sunday, January 16, 2022.

Saturday morning, therefore, the Parisian revealed that a former journalist from RMC and BFMTV had filed a complaint on Tuesday January 11 at the 16th arrondissement police station for attempted sexual assault against Jean-Jacques Bourdin, now 72 years old. The facts allegedly occurred in October 2013 in Calvi, during a trip to the "Open de Calvi" petanque competition where the journalist, then aged 25, and the journalist were invited. According to the complainant, who wishes to remain anonymous, he grabbed her by the neck and tried to kiss her several times in a swimming pool, when she had no feet. The young woman claims to have then received for several months insistent emails and SMS from Jean-Jacques Bourdin, to which she would never have replied.

Bourdin's new political meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, maintained

These facts are probably prescribed, but according to information from Le Parisien, two other women could come and testify in the coming days with investigators of similar facts, probably also prescribed.

Defended by Me Jacqueline Laffont, Jean-Jacques Bourdin forcefully disputes the facts: “I know this person and I worked with her.

I admit having bathed with her in the swimming pool of this hotel.

But I never tried to kiss her by force, neither her nor anyone else,” he confides, shocked.

The revelation of this complaint and the reaction of Altice Media come as Jean-Jacques Bourdin must present this Tuesday, January 18 a new political meeting in prime time, entitled “France in the eyes”.

This week, he must receive Valérie Pécresse, the LR presidential candidate.

To launch this new "spectacular" program, in which a panel of fifty people will question a presidential candidate each time, BFMTV orchestrated an advertising campaign on which the face of Jean-Jacques Bourdin appears and, next to it, the slogan: “He is not a candidate but can help you choose.

According to our information, this Tuesday's show will be maintained.
