(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 16 - The Australian government said it was satisfied with the decision of the Federal Court which rejected the appeal of Novak Djokovic confirming the expulsion of the champion from the country.
"I welcome the decision to keep our borders strong and protect Australians," said Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
"This decision was made for health, safety and good order reasons, as it was in the public interest.
Australians made many sacrifices during this pandemic and rightly expect the outcome of these sacrifices to be protected," he added.
