A heavily intoxicated driver left a trail of destruction in Erfurt on Sunday.
The 46-year-old rammed his vehicle into a total of seven parked cars on different streets, the police said.
At least 25,000 euros damage
Only because of the massive damage to his own car did he finally come to a standstill.
A breath alcohol test showed a value of 2.41 per thousand.
The man was taken to hospital with minor injuries, but no one else was injured.
He had to hand in his driver's license on the spot.
Criminal proceedings were instituted against him for endangering road traffic and getting away from an accident.
The amount of property damage incurred amounts to at least 25,000 euros, the police said.
