NAPLES EDEN by Bruno Colella, is a documentary in which the Neapolitan artist Annalaura di Luggo tells in first person the installation of four of his giant aluminum sculptures, in as many symbolic places in Naples: Piazza Municipio, Galleria Umberto I, Largo Santa Caterina and Largo Baracche.

Already winner of eight International Awards, he will be visible on the platform of the Ministry of Culture www.itsart.tv at the link Napoli Eden Streaming - Watch now in HD - ITsART Italian Art and Culture.

What do you see in NAPLES EDEN? The great organizational and creative effort of di Luggo to promote these sculptures, not surprisingly in aluminum ("the recyclable material par excellence"), with the help of a group of street urchins from the Spanish neighborhoods, gathered by Salvatore Iodice in his 'Miniera' laboratory.

All kids in the alleys behind via Toledo who, after accepting this unprecedented collaboration with the woman, will redeem themselves with this job as apprentices.

But in the documentary, the central figure is always the figure of this artist who, to build her works, goes around the deposits in search of aluminum scraps and photographs, with a particular camera, the irises of passers-by (an artistic obsession of hers). Meanwhile, the children collect toys and other waste abandoned next to the bins to transform them into sculptures thanks to the guidance of their master-carpenter Salvatore.

In the documentary, those urchins who are used to stealing the Christmas tree installed every year in Galleria Umberto thus find themselves, on the contrary, building one in aluminum which they then also have to protect.

The former superintendent of cultural heritage of Naples, Luciano Garella, the musicians Eugenio Bennato and Enzo Gragnaniello, the curator Francesco Gallo Mazzeo, the actors Nino Frassica and Patrizio Rispo, together with the Hollywood film-maker Stanley Isaacs, are some of the names that have lent their image in this documentary by Bruno Colella.

In NAPLES EDEN also the images of the Royal Palace, the Chapel of San Severo, the Cloister of Santa Chiara and the gulf, as if to introduce the great final evening, that is the inauguration of the four enormous installations.

"I was entrusted with this project by the municipality after the great success, in 2017, of BLIND VISION, or the large black dome set up in Naples that allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the world of the blind" explains to ANSA the di Luggo.

The artist - who has always been dedicated to human rights, to the inclusion and support of young prisoners - does not hide how the experience with the young people of the Spanish Quarters has marked her forever.

"Going to that area of Naples is like entering a house. One of these guys - he adds - once paid me a big compliment by telling me: 'you are a Quartieriana', that is, you are one of us".
