The American actor, unforgettable special agent Dale Cooper of Twin Peaks, created a surprise this Sunday in Milan by coming to parade for Prada, during Men's Fashion Week. It introduced the fall-winter 2022-2023 collection.

How to create the event at a fashion show? By having, for example, the show opened by a personality who is not a model. Demonstration was made this Sunday, January 16, by Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada. Prada's co-artistic directors gave the honors to Kyle MacLachlan for the opening of the Italian brand's fall-winter 2022-2023 show in Milan. The 62-year-old American actor rushed onto the runway dressed in a long, straight, sophisticated coat with very long sleeves, giving him the build of a dramatic hero. A new role for David Lynch's favorite hero, who made his cinematic debut in the 1980s, in

Dune

and

Blue Velvet

in particular. On television he is Special Agent Dale Cooper in

Twin Peaks

, and also shines in

Desperate Housewives

,

Sex and the City

, series that made him famous in the 2000s.

If the appearance of Kyle MacLachlan on a podium is a first, the world of fashion, on the other hand, is not unknown to him.

Versace, Chanel, Balenciaga... the actor has become a regular in the front row in recent years.

Roster of actors

Kyle MacLachlan wasn't the only Hollywood representative to play model for the day.

Nine other actors from all generations, including Jeff Goldblum, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Asa Butterfield or Damson Idris, were also on the catwalk to highlight a wardrobe combining strict coats and blazers, wide shoulder pads, fluorescent shades, faux fur and silk technical.

The collection echoes the transformation of the wardrobe, which has resulted from the generalization of teleworking over the past two years with the pandemic.

"The fundamentals of the male wardrobe are associated with industrial forms, jumpsuits, work clothes", commented the designer Raf Simons who expresses with this collection a wardrobe merging the "

sartorial

style " and the "streetwear".
