The Maccabi Health Services survey among faxloid users shows that the improvement felt by the patients was reflected in a decrease in fever and relief of headaches and coughs • Only 6% stopped using the drug due to side effects

A survey by Maccabi Health Services examined the improvement in the condition of recipients of Pfizer against the corona virus, the faxloid, the side effects among the participants and whether patients treated with the drug were hospitalized after taking it.

It is important to note that 850 patients at Maccabi received the treatment (the data did not necessarily rely on all of them)

The survey shows that 88% of patients who received the drug at home reported taking it.

Only 6% reported stopping before the end of treatment - most due to side effects, and 6% reported not taking the drug at all when their main reasons were, among others: fear of side effects, fear of colliding with other drugs and more.

38% testified that they did not suffer any side effects during treatment with the drug.

The main side effects reported were bitter metallic taste (33%), diarrhea (18%), loss of sense of taste / smell (11%) as well as muscle aches (7%) and headaches (4%).

The survey also shows that 74% of patients felt improvement after treatment, 25% felt no change and only 1% felt aggravation.

92% of patients who felt relief - felt it within three days, with 60% of them within a day.

The relief is mainly manifested in improvement in general feeling and decrease in fever, relief of headaches and cough.

In addition to the survey findings, Maccabi notes that no patient with the drug was hospitalized during or after the days of treatment.

Maccabi also notes that about 850 Maccabi members are currently being treated with the drug, and the percentage who refuse to use the drug among patients who have been found suitable for treatment is about 25%.

It is further emphasized that there are no deaths so far among drug users.

The head of the health division at Maccabi Health Services, Dr. Miri Mizrahi Reuveni: "We call on the public who have not yet been vaccinated - come and get vaccinated and protect yourself.

Anyone who has fallen ill in Corona and is found suitable for treatment with the drug - we recommend taking it and protecting against a serious illness that can lead to hospitalization and even death.

The results of the survey indicate the quality of the treatment of the drug, its effectiveness and its importance during the fight against the corona plague, and especially during the midst of the current wave. "
