Three years after his album "Finally!", the singer surprises his fans by announcing his return with an immersive experience, mixing exhibition

For a surprise, it's a surprise.

Michel Polnareff had been distilling images on his social networks for two days.

We saw a computer-generated image plunging us into his universe, with people walking on a bucolic land with their heads in the stars, between a bed of poppies and their huge white glasses.

We imagined an exhibition or concert project.

Sunday, January 16, in the evening, the singer unveiled the poster for "Polnarêves", described as "an immersive experience" and "an extraordinary journey".

The place ?

The Palace Theater in Paris.

The calendar ?

From May 5.

And Fnac, which is launching the ticket office this Monday, January 17 at 2 p.m., to specify that the musician “will give live immersive the first concerts of the world after”.

A title inspired by "Polnarêve", an instrumental piece from 1971, "Polnarêves" will mix both exhibition and live music. But with Polnareff sauce, that is to say unique and avant-garde. This exhibition will immerse the visitor in more than half a century of career, from “Love Me, Please Love Me” in 1966 to his tenth studio album, “Finally! “, released at the end of 2018. His first for 28 years. For this, the artist and his record music, Universal, will unveil unpublished images and documents from their archives. The exhibition would settle for three months at the Palace, which already hosted an exhibition on David Bowie in 2021, and would then go on tour.

The 77-year-old musician, who has lived since 1973 in the United States and more precisely since 1994 in Palm Springs, California, would give live concerts, from American soil, every Friday and Saturday evening in a room at the Palace equipped with a 360° screen.

But will he be alone at the piano?

In a group, with his American musicians?

For visitors to the exhibition or spectators who came especially for the evening show?

Responses should be forthcoming.

But we are not surprised that Michel Polnareff wants to redo his show.

When we last met in November 2018 in Las Vegas, the artist told us he was recruiting musicians in the city in the hope of touring again in 2019...
