The fact that emerges, in fact, is that we spend more and more time of our day in front of the display of mobile devices and on apps. On average almost five hours a day (exactly 4 hours and 48 minutes, in the previous report it was 4.2 hours), a ceiling that is breached in South Korea and Brazil.

Time is spent mainly on social media (42%) and on photo and video apps (25%), 8% is dedicated to games, 3% to entertainment. Also this year the most downloaded app globally was TikTok, followed by Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. In the top 10 there is also room for Zoom. In Italy, however, in 2021 the most downloaded applications were those connected to the pandemic: PosteID, IO, Verifcac19, Immuni, including Vinted, to buy and sell used clothes, including designer clothes. Also in our country, in terms of monthly active users, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Messenger are at the top, while Amazon, Spotify and Netflix are also among the top ten.

The ranking of apps with which you spend the most, sees Dazn, Disney +, Google One, Tinder and Netflix in the lead.

Of the games, the most downloaded was Count Masters.
