She has unconventional humor, is a good friend of Amy Schumer (who lets her warm up her standup) and now she stars in a new HBO comedy series • Meet Bridget Everett

Tonight (Monday) a new comedy series from HBO, "Someone Somewhere", starring comedian Bridget Everett, airs on HOT, yes and Cellcom TV.

Everett has gained exposure in recent years thanks to her good friend, stand-up comedian Amy Schumer.

In the series, Everett plays Sam, a single woman in her 40s, who returns to live in a small town in Kansas where she grew up.

She tries to find her place between her adolescent parents and her sister and family and finds refuge in an underground singing group in which other outsiders participate.

The people in the group do not fit into the sleepy routine of the town but are not willing to give up their little dreams.

Everett, 49, has been known for years in the New York nightlife scene as an unconventional entertainer.

She put on provocative cabaret shows that combine unique humor with her singing skills.

In addition, she appeared in small acting roles, including in the film "Sex and the City" from 2008 and "Walking Disaster" by Amy Schumer.

A guard even extended her sponsorship over her and made her her regular warm-up show.

In 2017, Everett starred in the independent film "Patty Cakes" and was praised for her performance.

Last year she starred in the movie "Hot News in Yuba Province" - a black comedy in which she appeared alongside Mila Kunis.

In a panel promoting the new series, Everett said, "I've never studied acting, I have no formal level skills, so in the roles I play I try to find a connection to real things in my personality. In addition, we touch on issues of finding your place in the family and in the world in general. This is something I have been working on all my life, to this day, a kind of love-hate relationship with the house where I grew up and my self-worth, something I touch even when I sing. "An opportunity to connect to places where I am strong or fragile. She is happy and sad, and that is what makes her special and allows me to bring myself and my story in the ultimate way."

According to Everett, although the character in the series is different from her, the series has many biographical elements.

"I'm from a town called Manhattan in Kansas," she said.

"We always called her 'the little apple.' "I know what it's about. For example, bringing the show to town is something I will not imagine, I'm scared. Although I'm sure everyone will support and shower me with love."
