(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 17 - A British citizen, Angela Glover, originally from Brighton, is the first known victim of the tsunami that hit Tonga after the eruption of the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apa volcanic submarine.
The news was given by brother Nick Eleini, quoted by the BBC, specifying that the body was found by her husband James.
The man was saved because he managed to cling to a tree when the wave came.
The 50-year-old woman, who had a tattoo shop in Nuku'alofa capital and ran an organization for the recovery and care of stray dogs, was reported to have died while trying to rescue her dogs.
