In exchange for a few hundred euros, she poured the anti-Covid vaccines into the gauze rather than into the arms of her patients.
In Italy, a nurse from Palermo (Sicily) was arrested after pretending to administer the vaccine to several consenting patients.
Police officers filmed her with a hidden camera emptying the contents of the syringe before performing fake injections.
The caregiver is accused of having, among other things, provided false official certificates to antivax activists.
She was arrested for forgery and embezzlement.
This arrest is not the first.
On Wednesday January 12, a nurse had already been apprehended in Ancona, in the Marche region, for having pretended to vaccinate 45 people.
Three doctors were also indicted for the same reason while they received around 300 euros per false injection.
In many cases, the patients turned out to be anti-vax activists wishing to benefit from a health pass in force in Italy.
