"WET - The Show!" is back in Munich.

The spectacle celebrated its premiere in the GOP.

The evening was also the farewell to creative head Werner Buss.

Unfortunately, the fact that art and culture are getting wet is nothing new.

In the GOP, the splashing and splashing, the dripping and dripping is intentional.

Because in Munich's parade variety show, "WET - The Show!" is now running until March 13th and with it the new edition of the water fight, which already delighted the audience in 2016.

Now the "Wetten, nass..?" is back - with new artists, new tricks and a new bathing ballet.

That's not the only reason why the GOP became a wetland at the premiere (with 2G).

Because: Werner Buss, vaudeville genius, artistic director and creative impresario of the GOP, had his last working day after 28 years.

There were tears, emotion.

And the name of the show "WET" also stood for "Werner, end, sad".

The 58-year-old and what feels like the youngest grandfather in the world is retiring because he felt that even for him, 200 travel days a year in the service of entertainment were too much. "My regeneration phases are getting longer," explains the creative mind, who also reinvented vaudeville in his adopted home of Munich. His employees said goodbye to him with music by Sportfreunde Stiller: "You're a gift."

The GOP guru now wants to treat himself to a four-week Ayurveda cure in Sri Lanka.

And then?

"I'm curious.

There's still so much I've never done before.” In future, he will come to the premieres as a guest.

Theater boss Peter Weil gave his own Buss chair, which is only placed in the hall when its owner drops in.

Even if the GOP without Werner Buss is as unimaginable as FC Bayern without Uli Hoeneß, things should continue seamlessly thanks to deputy Sandra Wawer (41).

And there are still provisions for the whole of 2022 anyway.

The next programs "Circus", "Sailors", "WunderBar" and "Bookshop" all come from Buss.

GOP Munich: "WET - The Show!" runs until March 13, 2022

For his Dernière, Varieté-Hoeneß quite rightly chose the completely reissued "WET - The Show!".

The most successful German variety program with over 1.5 million viewers worldwide is funnier, more breathtaking and lively than ever on the Munich comeback.

Jugglers, artists and comedians from Italy, Russia and the Ukraine perform gymnastics through the six bathtubs on the stage.

As the foam-born Venus, glamor soprano Lina Navakaite from Lithuania sings hits from Conny Froboess to Rimski-Korsakow.

And in her version of "Let it be" she stands "up to the knee" in Wannsee.

At the end the stage is flooded and Werner Buss says goodbye.

But with so many talents, the GOP can certainly be expected to differ from "Mr.

Variety” swims free.
