"Games are the most dynamic category in entertainment across all platforms and will play a key role in the development of the metaverse," says Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

The acquisition includes iconic brands such as Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, Call of Duty and Candy Crush.
