An eight-year-old boy from Baden-Württemberg died in hospital after being seriously injured in a tobogganing accident.
This was announced by the Pforzheim police on Tuesday.
The boy was hit by a moving car on Sunday afternoon after his sled went off a slope near Freudenberg.

A 77-year-old motorist noticed too late that the child was heading into the street.
The boy crossed the roadway directly in front of the vehicle.
The car hit him head-on.
The eight-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries.
He was flown to a special clinic in a rescue helicopter and died there according to police information.
The driver was not injured.
