Chain letters cannot be eradicated, but there are variants that are an asset.
The dough for the St. Francis bread is included and you can keep it.
It is not known when the Francis bread first appeared.
Nor where it comes from.
Sometimes one reads that it started directly in the Vatican, then again it is said to have first appeared in Argentina.
The names for the sweet bread, which is more of a cake, are varied:
Francis bread
Vatican bread
lucky bread
Hermann bread
friendship cake
No matter where it comes from and what you call it, the
principle of Francis bread
is always the same: You are given a piece of dough, you have to "feed" it according to precise instructions, finally divide it into four parts, give away three and bake with yours fourth part the Francis bread.
A delicious chain letter.
If you follow the procedure,
a wish will be
granted and the bread will bring happiness to the whole family.
But only if you bake the bread once in your life.
Pretty complicated, right?
So don't expect miracles, just a really delicious cake.
We will tell you how to prepare the dough for the Francis bread yourself, how to feed it correctly and how to bake it.
Ready in 10 minutes:
lightning-fast, fluffy foam cake without baking.
St. Francis Bread Recipe - Instructions for the approach
According to the original recipe, you should start on a Monday, but of course it works the same if you have time on another day.
You will need a glass, plastic, or porcelain (not metal) bowl that holds about 1 kg.
Monday: Add 250 g of sugar.
Tuesday: Add 250 g of cold milk, do not stir.
Wednesday: Add 250 g flour, do not stir.
Thursday: stir, but only with a wooden or plastic spoon, no metal.
Friday: Add 250 g sugar, 250 g milk and 250 g flour, stir and divide the dough into four equal parts.
You give away three of these parts together with the instructions.
While caring for and feeding the dough at home, it must
never
be placed in the refrigerator.
It may
only be covered loosely
, in no case airtight.
Wonderfully fluffy and with a creamy topping:
you should not miss this cheesecake.
