Registrations for the purchase of the PlayStation 5 are accepted via Sony's direct sales company PlayStation Direct.
If you haven't been able to buy a PS5 yet, you have a good chance here.
At the end of 2021, Sony also launched PlayStation Direct* in Europe and Germany.
Customers can buy games, accessories and consoles here via direct sales.
The PS5* is also available this way, unless it is currently sold out - which unfortunately is the case most of the time.
But now customers can sign up for PlayStation Direct to have a chance of snagging a PS5 on the next batch.

Registrations have now started for some countries in Europe - a bit confusing that this is being handled through PlayStation's US site.
But the site confirms that the offer is also valid for Germany in addition to the USA, UK and some other countries.
How to sign up for PS5 purchase

In order to purchase the PS5 via PlayStation Direct, you must first sign
in to the PlayStation website with your PSN ID

If you don't have a PSN account yet, you can create one for free by entering your email address.
After signing in, go to the PS5 order page and click the
Sign in
button .

Then all you have to do is wait.
Sony points out that registration is
not a guarantee of PS5 purchase

If selected, you will receive an email prior to the start of the sale.
So make sure your email address matches the PSN ID and that you have turned on email notifications from PlayStation.

PS5 is reserved for a limited time
If you are selected, a
PS5 will be
reserved
for you for a limited time .
You will then be contacted via email and given the date, time and instructions on how to purchase a PS5 console.
Due to limited quota, sales are limited to one console per user.
PlayStation Direct is a measure taken by Sony to take action against PS5 scalpers who buy larger quantities to resell the consoles at high prices.
