At least five people have died in a fire at a retirement home in Spain.
The emergency services in the city of Valencia in the east of the country said that eleven people with smoke poisoning were also hospitalized.
The fire happened around midnight in a nursing home in the municipality of Moncada, near Valencia.
Of the eleven injured, three suffered "severe poisoning" and eight "slight poisoning," according to the rescue workers.
The fire department rescued 25 people from the two-story building before they could bring the fire under control.
According to reports, a short circuit in a medical device could have started the fire.
