In the shadow of the Corona crisis, the Ministries of Finance, Culture and Sports have agreed on a package of assistance to the world of culture for January-February.
The assistance will include support for actors, stage workers, independent artists, support for artists who appear in a cultural basket and children's performances, cultural institutions and cultural halls.
The assistance package includes:
NIS 28 million will be transferred to cultural institutions that will continue to employ employees continuously and will also be used to pay independent employees who were partners in any canceled show, show or event.
NIS 10 million for assistance to artists who work under a culture basket and who have been severely affected by the decline in activities and performances for children in schools and in general, through the purchase of hundreds of performances from all artists by the state immediately.
NIS 50 million will be transferred to local authorities for cultural activities throughout the country.
NIS 12 million will be directed to shows with an emphasis on booking and assistance through the cultural halls in the cities under the halls.
NIS 38 million will be transferred through an SLA test that the Ministry of Culture re-introduced this year.
- The budget of the Fund for Distressed Nationalists will be increased to NIS 6 million.
The ministries will work to expand as much as possible the criteria for applying for assistance so that they will also include stage workers.
- Expansion of Israeli Cinema Day activities during 2022, following the moderation of the morbidity.
