Analysis of pediatric and adolescent morbidity data shows that vaccines given over the past three months provide high protection against varietal infection
Analysis of the disease data was performed by a team of researchers from the Ministry of Health, the Weizmann Institute of Science, the Technion, the Hebrew University, and the Gartner Institute at Sheba Medical Center.
This is a data analysis that examined the usefulness of vaccines among children and adolescents, which found that even during the Omicron wave, a vaccine given in the last three months, whether two doses or a booster dose, provides better protection against infection compared to unvaccinated or immunized vaccines.
The findings show that children aged 5-11 who have been vaccinated with two doses in the last two months are twice as protected than not vaccinated at all.
It also shows that teenagers aged 12-15 who have been vaccinated with a booster in the last two months are four times more protected than those who have not been vaccinated at all.
