Austria approves mandatory vaccination, the first country in the EU

The Austrian parliament has approved the introduction of the compulsory vaccine against covid-19 and is the first European country to do so. The approval with the necessary majority of votes took place after hours of debate in the classroom. (HANDLE)

The measure will come into force on 4 February (ANSA).
