Even after the end of guardianship, the court dispute between singer Britney Spears and her father Jamie Spears is not over – among other things, it is about money payments.
At a hearing in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Judge Brenda Penny set a court date for late July.
The lawyers for both sides delivered a heated argument on Wednesday, as US media, including "People", reported.
Britney Spears' attorney Mathew Rosengart has previously made allegations that the singer was heavily monitored under her father's long guardianship, according to Rolling Stone Magazine.
Alex Weingarten, her father's attorney, accused Rosengart of making up stories and planting them in the press, according to Variety.
The singer's legal counsel again accused him of lying.
The lawyer also wants to investigate allegations that the father should have enriched himself with his daughter's millions of dollars.
Jamie Spears insisted on further payment for himself and his legal team for work done during the guardianship.
The judge initially made no decision in the money dispute between daughter and father.
However, she refrained from requiring the singer to invest a cash reserve for possible payment claims, as "Variety" reported.
Accordingly, Britney Spears can freely dispose of her millions of dollars.
After 13 years, Britney Spears' guardianship was lifted in mid-November.
The judge suspended conditions to control the pop star's finances and personal affairs.
Jamie Spears has held guardianship of his daughter since 2008 after the singer suffered a mental breakdown.
