Health Insurance has unveiled an interactive map to locate pharmacies near you that provide self-tests

Are you a parent of a contact case child?

In recent days, you may have visited several pharmacies before finding one that provided the famous self-tests free of charge, which are necessary for class maintenance.

Health Insurance has decided to make your life easier by offering an interactive map of pharmacies delivering self-tests reimbursed by Social Security.

Usable by all French people, even without an Ameli account, this tool allows you to find participating pharmacies by typing the name of a department, a town or a postal code in the search bar.

It is also possible to navigate using the zoom of the interactive map.

You will then see blue pictograms representing the participating establishments, with, by clicking on them, the name, address and telephone number.

15,795 participating pharmacies

This Thursday noon, out of some 21,000 pharmacies listed in France, 15,578 delivered self-tests paid for by Health Insurance in mainland France, 117 in the West Indies and Guyana and 100 in Reunion and Mayotte.

Several scenarios entitle you to free self-tests. First, for children under 12 with contact cases at school: their parents must then present pharmacists with a sworn statement to be entitled to three self-tests (to be used on D0, D + 2 and D+4). For children with contact cases outside of school and for contact cases with a complete vaccination schedule, the negative result of an antigen or PCR test as well as a sworn statement are necessary for the pharmacist to give you free of charge two self-tests. Finally, the 600,000 professionals working with the elderly or disabled are also eligible for ten self-tests per month.

If you do not meet these conditions, be aware that the selling price of a self-test must not exceed 5.20 euros.

In addition to pharmacies, you can now find them in supermarkets: displaying discounted prices, they are authorized to sell them until January 31.

In any case, do not forget that a positive self-test must be confirmed by antigen test or PCR for better reliability and to facilitate monitoring of the epidemic and contact tracing.
