Who does not like to feel valued and held, especially when it comes to the workplace?

But what in the world do you have to do to become an "asset" in the workplace?

"In order to become and be an asset in your workplace, one that they will want to preserve and promote, you need to prove yourself," says Hani Yaakov. "Successfully perform the tasks assigned to you and initiate new ideas. When you come to a new workplace it takes time for things to happen and the first thing you need to do is know where you are - what the organizational culture is, what the professional processes are, what your expectations are and what the company's hierarchy and interfaces are."



Is it possible to apply for a promotion after a year in office?



Hani explains: "If you are integrated and can show impressive and proven results, ideas that promote the organization and you know how to think outside the box, you can think of the next step. Try to understand what contribution or change you can make to the organization, how to influence and streamline processes and become more involved in decision making. If you do not do your job and are only concerned with what is around you - you may damage your image. "



Yaakov concludes: "Your managers are the ones who need to see your initiatives and successes. The recommended way is to share your ideas with them, because your success is literally everyone's success."
