(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 21 - The reform of the public register of oppositions to wild marketing proposed by Giancarlo Giorgetti has been approved by the Council of Ministers, which simplifies the procedures that allow citizens to revoke consent to promotional calls or the sending of unwanted advertising material, extending its application to cell phones as well.
"I am satisfied because we have approved another reform form much awaited by citizens who have the right to have their privacy protected by invasive promotional activities. With this tool, the aim is to regulate a phenomenon that has become unacceptable", declares Giorgetti.
