A mustard sold at Penny's in several states has been recalled.
The reason is a substance that can have serious consequences for allergy sufferers.
Munich - consumers beware.
Anyone who bought the Aromico, delicatessen mustard medium hot from Penny, should now return it.
The manufacturer of the product, the company Süko from Pfarrkirchen, called it back as a precaution.
The company cites incorrect bottling of hot mustard as the reason.
This contains the allergen sulfite, which is not on the list of ingredients.
That's why Süko asks all people who are allergic to sulfite not to eat the mustard and to return it instead.
However, according to the company, the product is perfectly edible for non-allergy sufferers, with the exception that it is a hot mustard instead of a medium hot one.

Süko has now had the product, which was sold in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein, withdrawn from circulation.
Upon return, customers receive a full refund of the purchase price, even if they no longer have the receipt.
