At the first absolute participation in the African Cup, the Comoros national team is the great surprise of the tournament after the success against Ghana which cost the elimination of the 'Black Stars' and sanctioned the passage of the freshman to the round of 16, Now however Monday's match against Cameroon, the home national team, risks being really impossible: in fact, the cases of positivity at Covid in the Comoros group have risen to 12, as announced by the local football association.
Among them are the coach Amir Abdou and the only two goalkeepers at his disposal, Moyadh Ousseini and Ali Ahamada, while the third extreme defender, Salim Ben Boina, is injured.
So now the Comoros have no goalkeeper but "we will do everything possible", as Abdou told the official channels of the federation.
